Liberty Counsel sent a letter to Governor Inslee and State Attorney General Bob Ferguson regarding recent mandates affecting state employees and health care workers. The letter exposes the Governor's office's attempt to limit acceptable religious exemptions. Some forms are so narrow that they imply if you have taken any medication in the past, your sincerely held faith is called into question. Liberty Counsel states that these and other methods stand in opposition to Federal laws that the State Government has no authority to overrule. In addition they state that "the currently-available COVID shots are different than any vaccines an employee has taken in the past that were NOT derived using aborted fetal cells."

Judge Dave Larson contacts Supreme Court to express legal opinion that Governor Inslee cannot legally compel vaccinations under Washington State Law.

Judge Larson is the co-chair of the Council on Independent Courts and a member of the Civic Learning Council (formerly Council on Public Legal Education).  He is a member of the Board of Judicial Administration Public Trust & Confidence Committee and a member of the Legislative Committee and Therapeutic Courts Committee of the District and Municipal Court Judges Association (DMCJA).  He is a past member of several other DMCJA committees.
